A few weeks ago I wrote a blog A Day in the Garden with Munchkins and Mohawks. It was all about my day at the Newborn Photography Show at the Botanical Gardens in Birmingham where I was fortunate to take part in a Masterclass by Tiffany from Munchkins and Mohawks – a very successful family photographer from the USA.
During the workshop Tiffany shared her methods for creating her magical and beautiful photographs tailored for the individual client and their family. She was very inspiring and I am beginning to put her methods into practice over the coming summer sessions I have booked. For example, planning a theme that is related to the families interests or personality, planning props and wardrobe choices with the client and offering a range of digital and print packages.
As part of the workshop we took part in two styled shoots, this is a selection of my photographs from the second shoot.
I loved the mum’s dress so much that when I saw it on sale in Debenhams a week later, I had to buy it for a function I was due to attend a few weeks later. I still have it if you book a shoot and want to borrow it for the session!
