365 days of photography

One of my new year resolutions for 2014 is to complete a 365 project – one photo a day for a year. I want to photograph my life and the people and things I see around me. Giving myself this challenge will improve my photography and creativity.  It will force me to see the creative possibilities all around me. So here are a couple of the images I’ve taken so far this year.

I want to explore the possibilities of my 60mm macro lens more.  I especially like this picture of my daughter’s hair which I took with this lens.  I will be photographing more details such as chubby fingers, milk moustaches and delicate eyelashes as they are some of the details I love about my children and one day I wont see these things on a daily basis, they’ll be all grown up, but thanks to the magic of photography, I can keep these daily delights forever.
