As I looked back over the year of 2016 and thought of all the people I had photographed, all the things I had learnt and all the plans I had for 2017 I felt proud of my achievements. Then just a few days before Christmas I received some wonderful news that confirmed my achievements and growth throughout the past months…. the news that I had been awarded three Bronze awards for my entries into The Guild of Photographer’s Image of the month competition.
The Image of the month competition is a very popular contest within the professional photography world and it attracts over 1000 entries every month. The Guild has very demanding standards when judging photographic competitions. In fact, the judging is undertaken by a panel of internationally recognised experts from a variety of photographic backgrounds. A Bronze award is described by the guild as being awarded to ‘images of a strong standard at a national competition level. So being awarded a Bronze award is an achievement to be, quite rightly, proud of!
What a wonderful way to end my year.
Here’s a little look at the three winning images. They were all taken this past Autumn on my “Autumn Special” photo-shoots. If you’d like to find out first when I am taking bookings for Autumn photo-shoots in 2017, please send me a message via the contact me page and I will add you to my mailing list.
