A Day in the Garden with Munchkins and Mohawks

During half term, I had a very exciting day out. I was lucky enough to go to The Newborn Photography Show at the Botanical Gardens in Birmingham. Not only that, but I got to take part in a Masterclass taught by one of my favourite family photographers in the whole world…. the very talented Tiffany from Munchkins and Mohawks. I also got to meet ten other lovely family photographers from around the UK and Europe, who I have been keeping in touch with through Facebook since.

Tiffany had so much to teach us about running a successful family photography business. I am currently working hard in putting all these strategies into practice so look out for some big changes over the coming months. As well as some business training, we took part in two photo shoots, which Tiffany had planned and styled. The great British weather rained a little on us and we all got a bit wet, dirty and cold but we had a lot of fun.

Here are a few of my photographs from the first styled shoot we did. The inspiration behind this shoot was the question “what would a little boy do if he was out in the garden on his own”? So our Munchkin model played around for us, then Tiffany gave him some plants that she’d brought along  (just thought I’d mention that, in case you see the pictures and think we let him pull plants up in the Botanical Gardens)!

Look out for my blog of the second styled shoot soon.
